Walter K. Debes

Walter K., October 3, 2021, age 89, of Rhawnhurst, PA. Beloved husband of 50 years to the late Adele F. Debes (Holmes). Devoted father of Walter J. (Patricia) and John A. (Lucy). Loving grandfather of Ashley, Erin, Nolan, and Jack. Great-grandfather of Toby. Dear brother of the late William S. (late Rose) and the late Alfred (Joan); loving Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Walt was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and a retired letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 20. He was also a devoted volunteer at the VA Hospital. Walt loved spending time with his family and with his beloved Pat Carroll. Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Saturday, October 9 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, John F. Murray Funeral Home, 1220 Bethlehem Pike Flourtown, PA 19031. Funeral Service will follow at 11AM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Walter Debes to the VA Medical Center, Attn: Voluntary Services, 38th and Woodland Ave., Phila., PA 19104 would be appreciated by his family.
