Thomas J. McKenna, a longtime resident of Wyndmoor, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, October 28th, at the age of 77. He is predeceased by his parents, Mary and Thomas McKenna, his brother-in-law Francis C. Flynn, and his nephew, Daniel C. Flynn. He is survived by his sister, Mary C. Flynn, and her children Fran (Amy), Susanne (Brian Edgar), and Brendan (Jennifer).
Tom attended Our Mother of Consolation grade school and graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School. After high school, he served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1969. Following his service, Tom worked for The May Department Stores Company for many years.
A lifelong Philadelphia sports enthusiast, Tom especially treasured the memory of the Phillies' World Series victory. He was a devoted car enthusiast and enjoyed sharing his passion for cars throughout his life. Tom was surrounded by his loving family, who will miss him deeply.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Friday,November 8, 2024 from 9-10AM and Funeral Mass at 10am at Saint Genevieve’s Parish 1225 Bethlehem Pike, Flourtown, PA 19031 followed by the burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery and reception at Sandy Run Country Club.
