Thomas H. Doyle

May 14, 1965 — September 21, 2024

Thomas Henry Doyle ( September 21, 2024) died peacefully, after a sudden illness, surrounded by his loving family. He will be forever missed by his loving wife, Diane, son Cullen and daughter Meghan. Tom leaves behind his brothers Joe and Fran and his wife Bunny, his aunt Frances Bailey and his mother-in-law Jody Kyle. He will be missed by his brothers-in-law Rob(Beth) and Kevin (Marta). Tom loved spending time with his nieces and nephews Shannon (Jack), Brendan (Hannah), Kaely, Ashley, Rory, Brendan, Grace, Gavin,James and his great niece, Ellie. His cousins Chris (Linda), Jimmy, Sean (Nancy), Judeann (Gary) were also very dear to him. Tom was predeceased by his parents Joe and Eleanor Doyle, father-in-law Bob Kyle, uncle Dick Bailey, and niece Caroline Kyle. Tom was a wonderful person with an amazing, infectious smile. He enjoyed playing golf, “base tanning” at the beach, playing in his softball leagues, partying at the 1508 Club, weekending with the boys at the lake, talking about and listening to anything political, making pies and most of all preparing Christmas Eve Dinner.  A true child of Oreland, Tom loved to reminisce about his childhood days spent here. Tom lived for his family. He loved following Cullen’s football career attending every game from the early days with Willow Grove Bears, to St. Gen’s CYO and later Germantown Academy and Salve Regina University. Tom found so much joy in listening/helping with anything Meghan had her hands in, which was a lot!  Tom enjoyed his work very much. We called him the Ice Cream Man from Bassetts, a job he was proud to have.  He shared his love and taste of ice cream with many. He loved planning who was going to get the next pint of ice cream.

Family and friends are invited to Tom’s viewing Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 6-8pm and Friday, September 27 from 9am-10am at St. Genevieve Roman Catholic Church, 1220 Bethlehem Pike Flourtown.
