It’s so hard to say goodbye to such a remarkable woman- Ruth Muggler. A true matriarch of the family, she shared her love with her husband Frank, 3 children, 5 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
Ruth Frieda Wolf was born in Philadelphia and grew up in Hatboro, PA with her younger brother Paul. As a young woman, she enjoyed playing the piano and listening to classical music. After graduating from Hatboro High School, she worked as a bank teller. Through family members she met her future husband Frank, and they were married June 28, 1952.
Ruth lovingly supported her husband Frank as he finished medical school and began practicing as a physician. Soon after their first child, Lynne, was born. This joyous occasion was accompanied by difficult challenges due to Lynne’s severe disabilities. Along with her husband, Ruth confronted this and other life hardships with strength and dignity. She was a woman of strong faith, being active in her church. She not only helped raise her children, she spent much time caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ruth is survived by her brother Paul and his wife Ilse, daughter Lori and her husband Aurelio, son David and his fiancée Tricia, and their families.
Ruth Muggler’s life will be celebrated Friday, Oct. 27th with visitation at 9:00 AM and a 10 AM service at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 14100 Worthington Road, Philadelphia, PA 19116. Interment will be held at 12PM at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
