In Loving Memory of Robert J. Rich Sr

It is with deep sorrow and immense gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Robert J. Rich, Sr. on December 21, 2023. He departed peacefully, surrounded by his family, leaving behind a legacy of love, accomplishment, and dedication.
Born on October 23, 1931, in Jeannette, PA, Robert was the cherished son of Charles and Elizabeth Rich. In 1955, he made a significant move to Philadelphia, where he laid the foundation for a life filled with purpose and service to others.
Robert served his country with honor and distinction in the United States Air Force from 1950 to 1955, stationed in Japan. His commitment to duty and love for his country were values that defined him throughout his life.
After his military service, Robert pursued higher education at St. Joseph University, where he earned an accounting degree, laying the groundwork for a successful career. For four decades, he served as the Chief Financial Officer of Express Marine, Inc in Camden, NJ. His dedication and leadership were instrumental in the company's success, leaving an indelible mark on the industry.
Robert was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Margaret (Carey), with whom he shared a lifetime of love and companionship. He was a loving father to his son, Robert Jr. (Leanne), and daughter Nina (Matthew) Brooks. His greatest joy came from being a grandfather to Bennett Rich, Farren Brooks, Elias Rich, Colby Rich, and Carey Brooks, each of whom brought immeasurable happiness to his life.
Robert was a pillar of strength for his family, including his cherished sister, Madelyn Rich, and sister-in-law, Trudi Rich. He was predeceased by his brothers, Charles and David, and his sister-in-law Gerryetta. Robert’s kindness and generosity touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Robert was a pillar of strength for his family, providing unwavering support, wisdom, and love. His kindness and generosity touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of Robert's life will be held on Thursday, December 28,2023 at St. Helena Church, 1489 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA, 19422. A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:45AM. Mass will follow at 11AM. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation, T2T.org, in Robert's honor.
May Robert’s soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
