On Monday, September 10, 2019, Richard P. Lisko, loving husband, father of five children, and grandfather to seven children, passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 73. Richard was born on January 14,1946 in Philadelphia, PA to William and Margaret (Willis). He completed his education at Temple University in Philadelphia in 1970, and then worked for 38 years at PECO Energy until his retirement in 2006. On January, 2,1967 he married Jean Marie McGinley. They masterfully raised five children: Richard, Christopher, Andrew, Jean Marie, and John. Richard had a passion for using tools. He fixed cars, lawnmowers, appliances, and anything else that would break within twenty years of its purchase date. He loved to be with his family and laugh at their antics. Over a 25-year period, he served as a coach to dozens of his children’s sports teams. He was also an avid diner at his favorite local restaurants, where he could be found nearly every Saturday evening with Jean and their friends. He was known for his kind and compassionate spirit as well as his ability to endlessly debate his points! Richard and Jean spent 52 years together in marriage and enjoyed their getaways to Bermuda and family vacations on the Jersey Shore. Richard was preceded in death by his father, William, and his mother, Margaret. He is survived by his wife Jean, his five children, his siblings Margaret, Bill, John and Joe, and his grandchildren Zoe, Willum, Norah, Neve, Andrew, TJ and Jack. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at St. Genevieve’s Church 1225 Bethlehem Pike Flourtown, PA 19031 at 10:30am. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation from 9-10:30AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Liberty Hospice, 7002 Butler Pike, Ambler, PA 19002-5106.
