Pat Somers

Pat Somers of Flourtown passed away on December 30, 2024. She was 72. 

Throughout her career as a clinical nurse, Pat worked at Misericordia Hospital, Pottstown Medical Center and Doylestown Hospital. She ended her career as the Risk Manager at Doylestown Hospital. In retirement, Pat was dedicated to serving others locally through Meals on Wheels, and in Kensington at the SSJ Welcome Center where she taught Citizenship and Mother of Mercy House for which she delivered sandwiches and food donated by the generous people of St. Genevieve Parish.

Pat is survived by her nephews, Jason Somers (Kim), Jeremy Somers (Sarah) and her seven grandnieces and nephews. She is also survived by her cousin, Joe Ferri (Sharon), her dear friend, Elizabeth Gavula and Elizabeth’s family, who was also Pat’s family.

 A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Genevieve Church, 1225 Bethlehem Pike, Flourtown, PA 19031. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation from 9:00 until 10:00 am at the Church. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Pat’s name may be made to either SSJ Welcome Center, 728 E. Allegheny Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19134, Mother of Mercy House, 720 E. Allegheny Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19134, or to Chestnut Hill Meals on Wheels, 1710 Bethlehem Pike, Flourtown, PA 19031.
