Mary Caroline Manley (nee Parker), of Flourtown, PA ,age 91, on August 13, 2021 passed peacefully surrounded by family . Beloved wife the late Edward; loving mother of Theresa Taylor (Jeff), Patricia Manley (Raef), Edward Jr., Jacqueline Whiting (Bruce), Kathy Bacino, Mary Jo Roman, Christopher (Tara), Alison (Bernie) and Stephen (Murray). Devoted grandmother to Chad, Melissa, Stephen, Sarah, Eddie, Taylor, Anna, Christopher, Abigail, Gabriel, Christianna, and Georgianna. Loving great- grandmother to Aiden, Mason, Parker, Emma, and Liam. Mary is the sister of Margaret Cancellarich (Don). She was predeceased by brother George “Sonny” Parker Jr. Born on 7/15/30 in Philadelphia, Pa, Mary was the daughter of the late George Sr. and Eleanor Parker. She was a graduate of John W. Hallahan Roman Catholic Girls High School (48’). Mary was the heart of the Manley family, and she emanated love and kindness. Being a full -time homemaker to her nine children and being “Grammom” to her grandchildren is what she treasured. Her home was always filled with family and friends. She and her late husband Edward, the love of her life, were married for 65 years. She was a South Philly girl who never missed a Mummers parade and looked forward each year to spending New Year’s Day with her family and friends in South Philly. Mary’s faith was unwavering. She was a dedicated, beloved member of St. Genevieve’s, a daily mass-goer, a Eucharistic minister, and had many “church friends” that she cherished. Relatives and friends are invited for visitation on at St. Genevieve Church, 1225 Bethlehem Pike, Flourtown, PA on Thursday, August 19th, from 6PM to 8PM and on Friday, August 20th from 9:00AM to 10:00AM. A funeral Mass will follow at 10:00AM. Interment will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Genevieve’s Church at the address listed above.
