Mary M. Flannery

Mary Flannery (née Barrett). Native of Shenandoah PA, long time resident of Philadelphia’s Logan Square worked many years at HUP as payroll manager for her many nurse friends and colleagues. Mary was pre-deceased by her husband Francis X. Flannery a Penn alum (’49). Mary was a loving mother who is survived her children, Kevin, Kellen, Kristine, and Kim. Mary opened her arms and warm heart with joy and humor to her grand and great grandchildren: Katherine Dranoff, Michael, Molly and Claire Canavan, Margaret, Grace and Caroline Sloane and Joseph Flannery, and great grandchildren Naomi Rivera, Ronan Canavan and Ciara Graham. Mary’s smile, love and subtle wit will be cherished by all as she rests in peace. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to Claire Fagin Scholarship at the Penn School of Nursing.
