Marie Kocher (nee Graber), 67, of Jenkintown, PA, won her battle with Ovarian cancer on October 7th at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, PA on May 7th, 1954. Marie graduated from Cardinal Dougherty high school in 1972 and retired from IMX Medical Management Services after 20 plus years of service where she was a respected quality assurance specialist. Marie treasured her days which she spent teaching and playing with grandchildren, gardening and watching sunsets on the beach. She lived for dancing, cooking, and entertaining friends and family, especially at her shore house in North Wildwood. Marie was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in 2017. After her diagnosis, she made it her mission to spread awareness and promote education and research for Ovarian Cancer treatment and prevention. Marie was an avid supporter of the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation, where she quickly became a loved and cherished member of the family. Marie was strong and positive in every aspect of her life, cancer was no different. Marie was predeceased by her parents, John and Marie (née English), brother Tommy, grandson Theo, and her first born child Baby Boy Amadio. Marie leaves behind her doting husband Richard Kocher. She was a devoted mother to Neil (Andrea) Amadio, Dawn (Connell) McCall, and Tony (Robyn) Amadio and grandmother to Isabella, Gabriella, Clare, Anthony, Hunter, and Levi. Marie also leaves behind her loving step children Rick (Noranne) Kocher and Bryan (Krissy) Kocher; and grandchildren Mariah, Cameron, Ayden, Zachariah, Mara, and Solomon. Marie is also survived by her siblings Sandy (Tony) LaNett, John (Leonor) Graber, Stephen (Marian) Graber, James Graber, and Mary (Ed) Krasnopolski; loving in-laws Martin (Gloria) Amadio, Elizabeth (and the late Jerry) Amadio, Audrey (Chuck) Delaney, and Drew Kocher. Marie was also loved and adored by 20 nieces and nephews, 2 godchildren, her Germantown girls, and countless other friends, family members, and coworkers. Family and friends are invited to her viewing on Wednesday October 13th, 2021 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at John F. Murray Funeral Home located at 1218 Bethlehem Pike Flourtown, PA 19031. A traditional Catholic Funeral mass will be held on Thursday October 14th, 2021 at 10:00am St. Cecilia Church 535 Rhawn St. Philadelphia, PA 19111. Interment to follow at Bethel Hill Cemetery 2000 Bethel Road Lansdale, PA 19446.
