Marian T Logan passed away suddenly on Wednesday September 16, 2020 after being rushed to Chestnut Hill Hospital from her home. She had been bed ridden for the last four years at her home, in Flourtown(PA), under the care of her granddaughter and husband. She was 86. Marian was born April 20, 1934, in Philadelphia (PA), to Elwood and Eleanore (Eisenhardt) Treffinger. She graduated from Olney High School (Philadelphia, PA) in January 1952 where she was named best dressed senior. After having and raising her daughter she went on to work at IBM where she met her true love. Due to company policy she left and went to work at SPS in Glenside (PA.) After her son was born she realized her true calling was childcare, working at Porch Daycare in Erdenheim (PA) until they closed. She then went to work at Hey Diddle Daycare in Fort Washington where she created several lifetime friendships with her coworkers and treasured her time with them even after she retired in 2012. Marian lived with a pure passion in everything she did. That passion was obvious when it came to her love of Philly sports. She was a die hard Flyers fan never missing a game and chance to cheer them on. She also bled Green and white for the Eagles and sung the fight song on key every game day. She loved going to Phillies games and singing “Take me to the Ballpark.” She made sure every generation that followed her knew these songs and chants and helped them fall in love with sports. She was known in the community for her arts and crafts that she worked on all year in preparation for the local Craft fairs. You could find anything from her hand painted slates for every season to the various ornaments made out of everything under the sun, but clams and oyster shells were her favorite raw materials. She also took orders for her custom birdhouses, saws and bricks painted as a replica of any house you choose, including your own. She was an avid reader, loved spending time in her gardens, spending time with her grand and great grandchildren, and cherished her orchard plants, talking to them every day. She enjoyed watching her nightly tv shows, even if they were a rerun. She will always be remembered for her spunkiness, supportive talks, and long warming hugs that just made you know everything would be ok. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Suzanne A Schock. Survived by husband Andrew (Drew) Logan, brother William (Nancy) Treffinger, son Stephen (Rachel) Logan, Granddaughters Sarah (Brian) McCaney, and Marin Logan, great grandchildren Stormii Schock-Sprague and Gavin McCaney, nieces Wendy Mans, Heidi Baitinger, Leslie Rabiega, and Karen Sosnowski , and nephew Gregg Baitenger.
