Margaret Mary Soglia

Margaret Soglia (nee McCulla) (91) passed away on April 12, 2025, after a long illness at her home in Flourtown. She was born on February 6, 1934, to Mary (nee Cunningham) and Walter McCulla in Philadelphia. She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Alfonso P. Soglia. She is predeceased by her twin sister, Alice Finney, her brother Joseph McCulla and her sister, Biba. She is survived by her four children Carmela McDowell (Joe), Freddy (Ellie), Mary Frances Okonski (Frankie) and Kathy Moser (Dave). She is also survived by ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Marge graduated from St. Basil's Academy and was married at St. Cecilia's Church in Fox Chase. She devoted herself to caring for her family and home in Chestnut Hill before returning to work. She worked at Chestnut Hill Hospital for many years. She could be spotted during her daily commute, stopping for a quick hello or a wave across the Avenue. Her hobbies were gardening, traveling and relaxing on the beach. But above all she relished her time with family. Whether it was celebrating a milestone or simply sharing a meal and a glass of wine, she was her happiest.

A celebration of Marge's life will be held at the Flourtown Country Club, 150 McCloskey Road, Flourtown, PA on Saturday, May 10, 2025. Visitation with the family will be from 12 noon to 1pm. A Remembrance and Luncheon to follow. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers Marge requested donations to The Drueding Center, 413 Masters Street, Philadelphia, PA 19122.  Drueding Center
