Lisa Maipelo Hopkins

Our beloved daughter, Lisa Maipelo, passed away on September 28th in Philadelphia, PA at the age of 31. She was a devoted and loving mother to Jason John (age 9) and Olivia Lerato (age 8) who were the center of her life. She was active in her children’s lives at Norwood-Fontbonne Academy and community. Lisa was born in Mochudi, Botswana and spent her formative years there. She began her early education at Thornhill School in Gaborone, Botswana. She finished her elementary education in Princeton, NJ and graduated from Princeton High School. Lisa attended Mount Saint Mary’s College in California and attained her professional Paralegal qualification from Peirce College in Philadelphia. In addition to her children, she is survived by her brother, Jason Charles Hopkins, her sister, Mpai Hopkins and her parents, Mark and Pony Hopkins, her paternal grandmother, and many uncles, aunts and cousins here and in Botswana. We will miss Lisa so much. May her soul rest in eternal peace. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday October 6, 2021 at 10AM at St. Genevieve Church, 1225 Bethlehem Pike Flourtown, PA 19031. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing from 9-10AM at the church. Interment will be held privately.
