Joseph A. Morgan Jr., of Flourtown, originally from the Swampoodle section of Philadelphia passed away on December 5,2020. Joe was the loving husband of Mary T.(McLaughlin) Morgan. Also survived by nieces, nephews, dear cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Joseph A. and Dorothy (Fowler) and his sister Mary Ann Rodgers. Joe was a graduate of Northeast High School (8th and Lehigh), served in the US Army and attended St Joseph’s University with a B.S. in Accounting. He was employed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for 30 years. Having been an avid baseball fan all his life, Joe’s favorite team was the Boston Red Sox. A highlight of his life was meeting and talking baseball with his childhood hero, Ted Williams. A viewing will be held on Saturday, December 12, 9-10:30 at St. Genevieve Church, 1225 Bethlehem Pike, Flourtown, PA 19031 , followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorials in Joe’s name can be sent to St. Genevieve School, 1237 Bethlehem Pike, Flourtown, Pa 19031.
