James W. Whitaker

James W. Whitaker of Lafayette Hill,Pa., died peacefully on October 8, 2024. He was born in Philadelphia in 1955. Jim graduated from St. Philip Neri grade school, Archbishop Kennedy High School and Temple University. Jim was the son Eugene J. Sr. (dec) and Catherine Keenan Whitaker (dec) and the brother of Sr. Maryellen Whitaker SSJ, Eugene Jr. (Rita), J. Michael (dec) (Elaine), Dorothea McGlaughlin (Thomas), Regina Cuozzi (Michael), Patricia Blankemeyer (Carl), John (dec) (Deborah), Catherine Beck, and 21 nieces and nephews. He worked for many years as an accountant and then as a clerk for Super Fresh Markets. Jim often reminisced about his high school basketball days and was a lifelong Philadelphia sports enthusiast. He was surrounded in death as he was in life by his loving family.  Services and interment will be held privately.
