It is with broken hearts and great sorrow that our family announces the death of our beloved Frederick Mark Hubbard, Jr., age 65. He passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 30, 2020, at his home in Dagsboro, DE, with his family by his side after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born September 23, 1954, in Philadelphia, PA, Fred graduated Immaculate Conception Elementary School (Germantown), Cardinal Dougherty High School, and LaSalle University. He dedicated his free time to the Olney Eagles Youth Organization where he coached youth sports. He retired after working for the City of Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park Division for 30 years to pursue his dream of moving near the beach to enjoy his love for fishing and spending quality time with the love of his life, Debby, and his family. Fred was full of wisdom and taught his family to work hard and to be a good neighbor, husband, father, and true friend. Fred is the son of the late Frederick and Geraldine, and husband of 47 years to Debra (nee Crawford). He is predeceased by his daughter, Tami-Lyn (Will), and is survived by his other children, Fred III (Crissa), Kristy (Jamie), and Matthew (Tiffani), his 15 grandchildren, and his two brothers, Michael (Patricia) and Stephen (Maureen). He is the son-in-law of Florence and the late Bernard Crawford. Visitation for Fred will be held at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Catholic Church, 1410 Almshouse Road, Jamison, PA, on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, from 5-8pm and again on Thursday August 6, 2020 from 10-11AM at the church. Funeral Mass will follow at 11am. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at 3301 W. Cheltenham Avenue, Philadelphia, PA.
