Frances E. Ryan

Frances E. Ryan passed peacefully surrounded by family on February 11, 2025, at the age of 95. 

Fran was a Philadelphia school teacher and then an Attorney at Dechert. An avid traveler, Fran delighted in all this world had to offer, always appreciating a good meal, music and opera, and a good book. She loved to explore new cultures and languages and even received her pilot's license. 

Faith and family were the most important to Fran and she lived her life accordingly. Franny’s kindness was infectious and touched everyone she met, even those who knew her only briefly.

She was predeceased by her parents John and Anne; brothers Jack and Joseph; sister-in-law Edith; brother-in-law William Cinque; nephew Joseph Ryan and niece Susan Ryan. She is survived by her siblings Sarah Cinque, Rev. Michael Ryan and Dennis (Debbie) Ryan and remains a special Aunt to many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. She will be remembered with great love and fondness. 

Friends and Family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Innocents Church, 1337 E. Hunting Park Ave, Philadelphia, PA. Mass is at 11 a.m. with doors opening at 10 a.m.
