Evertt Thomas Dunlap (E.T.), 85, of Oreland, Pennsylvania, passed away in his sleep on May 6, 2019, after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Louise (Martin) Dunlap, and his brother, James Dunlap. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Maureen (Mulholland), and his daughters, Elizabeth (Kenneth) Campbell and Margaret (Kevin) Wright; his grandchildren, Colin (Michelle) Sabia, Maureen Sabia, Courtney McClurkin, John McClurkin, and Natalie Wright; and his niece Alexandra (Kevin) Plumlee. E.T. was born April 10, 1934, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, and graduated from Central High School, Oklahoma City. He met his future wife Maureen at a U.S.O. dance while stationed at a Surface to Air Nike Missile site in Marlton, New Jersey. He attended Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, graduating with a Mechanical Engineering degree in 1962. He retired at 70 after a career working in the energy sectors of oil, wind, and solar in Texas, Saudi Arabia, China, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. He obtained his professional engineering license, a private pilot’s license, and was a member of the Philadelphia Masonic Lodge. He signed and dated everything, could fix anything, and never met a road trip he didn’t like. A Visitation will be held from 10-11AM, Friday May 17, 2019 at John F. Murray Funeral Home 1220 Bethlehem Pike Flourtown PA. Services will begin at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham PA.
