Edwin D MacFarland Jr

Edwin Dace MacFarland, Jr. (74), of Glenside, Pa passed away peacefully on March 19, 2024. Beloved husband of Linda (nee Logan). Loving father of Melissa A. and E.Dace (Angie).   Grandpa of Julianna (17) and Jayden (15).  He is also survived by his mother, Elizabeth and his brother, Glenn.  He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin D., Sr.

Ed served in the U.S. Army (Vietnam) with a combat artillery unit with rank of Staff

Sergeant and also served in the Pennsylvania National Guard for several years.  He was a retired funeral director.  Most recently, he worked at Kirk & Nice Funeral Homes for nearly 20 years. Ed was a loyal member of several organizations and a longtime volunteer with the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society.

Family and friends are invited to gather in his memory on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at Carmel Presbyterian Church 100 Edgehill Rd. Glenside, Pa.  Visitation will be held at the church from 2-3PM.  Memorial Service will follow at 3pm.  Interment private.
