Edward “Ted” Adam Jablonski passed away peacefully at his home in Ambler, Pennsylvania on November 20, 2021. He was surrounded by his loving family. Ted was a devoted husband to his wife Chitra for 49 years. He was an adoring father to his children Miroslawa Jablonski-Cohen and Mark Jablonski and will be greatly missed by his son-in-law Jonathan Cohen and his daughter-in-law Samantha DeMauro-Jablonski. He was a devoted grandfather “Dziadzio” to his grandsons Matthew, Radek and Jonah Cohen and his granddaughters Madeleine and Vivienne Jablonski. He will also be missed by his sister Maria Kavulak and her husband Daniel Kavulak as well as his sister Zofia Jablonski-Feulner and her husband George Feulner. Uncle Ted will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He will be remembered fondly by cousins in Poland, Canada and family in India. 80 years ago Ted was born in Lukowa, Poland in the midst of World War II. With his parents Jan and Katarzyna Jablonski he spent his early years in Germany. At the age of 11 he left on his own for Henley-on-Thames, England, where he attended Fawley Court Boarding School. He then attended the Oxford University School of Architecture where he met his future wife, Chitra. In 1979, he moved his family to America, reuniting with his parents and siblings in New Jersey. Having worked for various British and American architectural firms, Ted imparted a lasting legacy of design, having created numerous buildings in many countries all around the world. The quintessential gentleman, he embodied a warmth and kindness that touched everyone who knew him. He lived his life for his family and his friends, and could always be counted on for the heavy lift or a comforting embrace. His children and grandchildren knew him to be a gifted storyteller who regaled them with countless adventures both real and imagined. He was a man of faith, who leaves behind a legacy of love and a generosity of spirit, that endures in all of us who were blessed to have known him. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Ted’s life on Friday November 26th, 2021. Visitation will be held from 8:30-10:30 AM at John Murray Funeral Home, 1218 Bethlehem Pike, Flourtown PA 19031, followed by a funeral mass at 11 AM at Our Mother of Consolation Parish, 9 East Chestnut Hill Avenue, Philadelphia PA, 19118. Cremation will be private. An offering for the poor/homeless will be collected at the funeral mass, in lieu of a monetary collection. If you would like to contribute, please bring a pair of unused socks or gloves. . Reception is immediately following the mass at 909 Gypsy Hill Road, Lower Gywnedd PA 19002. The family is requesting masks be worn when indoors at all locations.
