Dorothy M Carr, age 87, of Oreland, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away on January 18, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 1, 1934, in Philadelphia, PA, Dorothy was the daughter of Gerald and Veronica Smith, sister to Gerald Smith Jr. and James Smith. Dorothy graduated from Little Flower High School in 1952. Dorothy was married to her beloved husband of 62 years Edward Carr, Sr. Together, they were blessed with six children Ed Jr, Michael (deceased), Stephen, Dennis, Gerry (deceased), and Missy Dudas (Carr). She also loved her seven great-grandchildren, Cameron, Logan, Mauricio, Avery, Colin, Kyra, and Zoe. The quintessential Irish Mom, Dotti, had a sharp wit and a soft delivery! She embodied grace, warmth, and kindness, and she touched everyone who knew her in a way that only she could. Dotti lived her life for her family and friends and could always be counted on to provide her special love and support. Dotti’s children and grandchildren knew her as the pillar of the family, and she was always there for those in need.
