Cordelia H Satterly

Cordelia Satterly of North Wales went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 22, 2024, with family by her side. Cordelia was born December 13, 1940, in Brooklyn, NY, grew up in Massapequa Park, NY and raised her family in Massapequa, relocated to Chalfont PA after retirement and ultimately North Wales.

Cordelia is survived by her six children, Charles Satterly, Cecelia Burns (Michael), Victoria Ryder, Diane Zielenski (Bret), John (Kama), Christopher (Liz), 19 grandchildren & 14 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by the love of her life, Bob, son-in-law, John Ryder, sisters Barbara Caruso and Agnes DeWolfe.

Cordelia started her career as a nurse at the A. Holly Patterson Nursing Home then at Brunswick Hospital.  Most of her nursing career was spent as a Rehabilitation Nurse at Hartford Insurance Company.  She was an active member of St. Rose of Lima Church Parish Council on Long Island, NY. She spent many a summer planning the yearly & much anticipated church bazaar.  Once relocated to Chalfont, she became a Eucharistic Minister at Mary, Mother Redeemer Church.

Cordelia had a great love of travel.  She and Bob visited many European countries, cruised to Alaska and around the Caribbean.  Cordelia inherited her gift of sewing from her mother and spent many hours lovingly making clothes for her grandchildren.

Cordelia will be remembered for her fierce and determined personality and sometimes stubborn nature. She was a force to be reckoned with!

A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 2^nd at Mary, Mother Redeemer Church, 1325 Upper State Rd., North Wales, followed by the funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held privately.
