Clare M. Brennan

Clare Margaret Brennan (Sykes) passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 16th at the age of 75 after a brave year-long battle with lung cancer.

Clare was the loving wife to Stephen Richard Brennan of 54 years. In addition to her husband, Clare will be missed tremendously by her four children, Steve and his wife Megan, Shannon (Rohr) and her husband Jim, Kerry (Harp) and her husband Joe, and Brian and his wife Emma. Her grandchildren, Riley (22), Jake (21), Molly (19), Ben (19), Sean (17), Brenna (13), Joey (11), Tommy (9), Connor (4), and Poppy (1) loved her immensely.

Clare was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Flannery, and parents, John G. and Theresa J. Sykes, and is survived by a close-knit family which includes her five siblings, Jeannie Gearhart (Norm), Sue Orlando (Bob), John Sykes (Betsy), Rob Sykes (Mary), and Carol Conway (Gabe), and their 15 children.

Relatives and friends are invited to St. Genevieve Church in Flourtown from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m on Wednesday, November 20th. Visitation will be held again at 9:00 a.m.until the start of her Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 21st, 2024.  Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
