Bruce W Esbensen

Bruce W. Esbensen of Glenside Pa passed away July 3, 2024 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by those who loved him. His wife, 2 sisters, nieces and stepson. 

Bruce was 64 yrs. He was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, uncle and a great friend to many. 

Bruce was born on August 30, 1959 in Philadelphia Pa to Francis(Frank) Esbensen and Florence Angelic. Bruce was one of 8 children. 

Bruce loved life! He was not only a painter and plasterer he was also a master chef and a man of many trades. Bruce's greatest joy in life was being at home with his wife Judy and his pets. He cherished this time with them. Bruce and Judy were inseparable. Together they would work on their house, cook may meals, garden and even loved doing yardwork. Bruce's other love was the beach and the ocean. They took many trips to Wildwood and Florida, stayed on the beach from sun up to sun down. Together they took many long walks along the beaches hand in hand,

Bruce was preceded by his brothers Charles, Francis, Michael and Anthony. By his son Eric. He is survived by his wife Judith McConnell - Esbensen, son Christopher Esbensen (Diane), daughter Melissa Kelly (Mark) sisters Susan Shepherdson (Michael),and Maria Esbensen (Fred), Brother Daniel Esbensen, stepson Thomas McConnell, 8 grandchildren and many nieces.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 10AM at St. John the Baptist Church 119 Rector St. Philadelphia, PA 19127. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation from 9-10AM at the church. Interment will be private.
