We regret to inform you, of the sad news, that Bette Star Simons, 74, passed away on Tuesday, January 22. She is survived by the love of her life, Kip Simons, whom she was married to for 51 years, as well as her cherished daughters Alaysa “Lacey” Conaway (Don) and Gabrielle Hollingsworth (Tim). Bette was relentless and bionic in the way she fought 4 cancers over 12 years. She almost never skipped a beat as she battled, and along with Kip, was child care to their two profoundly loved grandchildren, Jane Star (11) and Kip Joseph (7). Bette was one of the most genuine, empathic, gentle, patient and clever humans. People were drawn to her for sound advice, comfort and guidance without judgment. Her intelligence, spirituality, and open-mindedness, made her magnetic. Not to mention how her incredible sense of humor could light your day. Bette was soft and gentle, but Never backed down from fighting the right and good fight. Bette’s legacy will live on and exist in everyone who was blessed enough to be near her, if even for a short time. Bette was a true blessing. The brightest light, that will NEVER be forgotten. Visitations will be held at the John F. Murray Funeral Home 1220 Bethlehem Pike Flourtown, PA 19031 on Friday, February 1st from, 7-9pm and on Saturday, February 2nd, from 10-12pm.
