Anthony John Giovinazzo Jr., better known as “Toby,” passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 28th, 2019 at the age of 67. Born in Mt. Airy, Toby ran the streets of Chestnut Hill before settling down in Erdenheim, PA. Toby worked his way through the tile setters union, which led him to own and operate his own tile business. He prided himself in providing top-notch service to the Chestnut Hill, Mt. Airy, and Montco communities. On any given day, you could find him driving in his famous white Chevy pickup truck honking and waving to those he knew as he made his way down Germantown Ave and Bethlehem Pike. He was an avid sports fan, supporting all his Philadelphia teams, even though he couldn’t stomach watching them due to their perceived “poor performances.” A longtime member of the Venetian Club of Chestnut Hill, he was a part of their bowling league and never missed a Sunday roast beef sandwich. Known for his years of bartending at McNally’s, he earned a sandwich named after him -- the “Tobias.” He also was always good for mixing up one of his famous Crown Royal Manhattans. Husband of 35 years to Kathryn, Toby is the loving father of Anthony J. III (Nadia) and Christine. He is the brother of Janice Giovinazzo Coyle, Joyce Seiferth (Wayne), Robert Giovinazzo (Janet) and Gina Giovinazzo Moran (James). He will be greatly missed by all his beloved nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father, Anthony J. Giovinazzo, Sr., and his mother, Margaret Giovinazzo (Yanni). Family and friends are invited to his viewings on Thursday, January 2nd, 2020 from 5-8pm and again on Friday, January 3rd from 9-10am at Holy Cross Church 140 E Mt. Airy Ave, Phila PA 19119. Funeral mass will follow Friday at 10am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either the American Heart Association P.O.
