Wilhelmina Masturzo

Wilhelmina (“Billee”) Heller Masturzo passed away August 21, 2014 at Holy Redeemer Hospital. She was born February 20, 1921 in Philadelphia, PA to Margaret Brogan Heller and Theodore B. Heller. She graduated from JW Hallahan Catholic Girls High School in 1938. She worked as Chief Dispatcher at Scott Brothers Trucking Company, Philadelphia, PA where she met her husband, the late Nicholas P. Masturzo, Co-Owner of Mastur Manufacturing Co., whom she married in 1943. Billee and her family spent many wonderful summers in Longport, NJ. After her youngest daughter entered high school, Billee began a new career as hostess at 21 West Restaurant in Chestnut Hill, PA until her retirement in 1984. She is a former resident of Mount Airy, Chestnut Hill and Penns Wood in Flourtown, PA.Survived by children, N. Paul (Pamela), Mercia Shoughrue (the late David), William (Shirley), John (Patricia), Mary Kreiser (Karl), Peggy Deming and Susan. She was cherished by her 12 grandchildren, Kristin Cuddihy (Jim), Nick Masturzo (Heidi), Peter Shoughrue (Heather), Ryan Shoughrue (Kristen), Corey Shoughrue, William Masturzo, Marie Masturzo, Matthew Masturzo (Rachael), Michael Masturzo (Christina), Tricia Masturzo, Betsy Deming and Mary Deming. She was also the proud great –grandmother of 12 great-grandchildren, Madeline, Thomas, Jordan, Ethan, Max, Lily, Mia, Katy, Lucien, Jackson, Nicholas and Sophia. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.Family and friends are invited to celebrate Billee’s life on Wednesday, August27, 2014 with a viewing from 9:30 am followed by Mass of the Christian Burial at 11 am at St. Genevieve Church 1225 Bethlehem Pike Flourtown,PA 19031. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Billee’s memory to St. Joseph Manor-Evergreens c/o Holy Redeemer Development office, 541 Moredon Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.
